Product Overview
160mm x 110mm unequal junction with a double socket design and a 45-degree entry to link a smaller 110mm branch into a 160mm drainage run. Manufactured to BS EN 1401-1 standards, it ensures durable, watertight connections in underground foul and surface water networks.
The unequal design enables different pipe diameters to integrate within a single drainage layout, making it a practical solution for systems where a 110mm line must feed into a larger 160mm run.
With a shallow 45-degree branch angle, the fitting reduces flow turbulence and helps maintain hydraulic efficiency across the system. Its double socket ends allow direct push-fit connection of plain-ended pipes without the need for separate couplers.
Features & Benefits
- Durable uPVC body: Resistant to corrosion, chemicals, and long-term ground exposure.
- Equal compatibility: Connects a 160mm main pipe with a 110mm branch for mixed-size layouts.
- Watertight seals: Integrated push-fit sockets with rubber gaskets provide reliable joints.
- Lightweight handling: Easy to position, cut, and install with standard tools.
- Double socket design: Allows direct connection of plain-ended pipes without extra fittings.
- 45-degree branch entry: Ensures a smoother transition than sharper junctions, reducing blockages.
Applications
- Size transition: Links 110mm branch pipework into a 160mm main drainage run.
- Foul water drainage: Suitable for connecting domestic or commercial sewer pipes.
- Surface water management: Integrates rainwater or stormwater pipes into larger networks.
- System expansion: Adds new branch connections to existing 160mm underground layouts.
- Hydraulic efficiency: Maintains smoother flow by diverting at a shallow angle.
Installation Guidance
- Preparation: Cut and chamfer pipe ends, ensuring smooth edges before jointing.
- Connection: Push plain-ended 110mm and 160mm pipes fully into the sockets until seated.
- Seal protection: Avoid twisting or damaging the rubber seals during insertion.
- Bedding: Place on a suitable granular bed for support and stability.
- Backfilling: Surround with compacted granular material before final backfill.
Compliance & Performance
- Standard: Manufactured to BS EN 1401-1.
- Size: 160mm x 110mm, 45-degree angle.
- Type: Unequal junction, double socket.
- Material: Unplasticised PVC (uPVC).
- Applications: Underground foul and surface water systems.
- Performance: Provides secure, watertight size transition with minimal flow disruption.
- Durability: Resistant to corrosion, ground chemicals, and long-term burial conditions.

How delivery works
We work with a nationwide network of trusted suppliers. Items in your basket may be supplied by different suppliers and delivered separately. Where this applies, you will see delivery charges shown at checkout for each part of your order. We always aim to group products from the same supplier to keep delivery costs as low as possible.
Delivery areas
Delivery charges apply to mainland UK, excluding: AB, CA, CF, DD, DG, EH, EX, FK, KA, KW, KY, IV, LA, LD, LL, ML, NP, PA, PH, PL, SA, SY, TR, TQ and TD.
If your address is in one of these areas, we will contact you before processing your order to confirm any additional costs. We do not currently offer delivery outside the UK mainland.
What to expect on delivery day
- Deliveries are typically kerbside.
- Please ensure someone is on-site to accept delivery. For heavier items, help with offloading may be required.
- Many building materials arrive on large vehicles. If access is restricted, a specialist vehicle such as a HIAB may be required and could incur an additional charge.
Why delivery can cost more than typical parcel delivery
Building materials often travel on larger vehicles and usually carry fewer drops per run than parcel networks. That is why delivery charges can be higher than standard e-commerce shipping.
Returns
Returns depend on what you have bought and whether there is anything wrong with it. For full details on eligibility, timeframes, and exclusions, please see our full policy.
