Product Overview
Standard masonry joist hanger with a 100mm width and 125mm leg length. Designed for connecting wide or double timber joists to masonry or concrete blockwork, providing a secure, load-bearing support where timber meets structural walls.
Manufactured from 2mm thick galvanised steel, the hanger offers excellent rigidity and long-term corrosion protection under normal internal or sheltered external conditions. The precision-formed side flanges ensure consistent fit and alignment, maintaining correct joist positioning during installation.
Suitable for medium to heavy load applications in domestic and light commercial floor or roof structures, it offers a robust seat profile to distribute load evenly across the bearing surface.
Its dimensions of 100mm × 125mm ensure compatibility with wide 100mm joists, offering balanced embedment for secure joist seating and stable load distribution.
Features & Benefits
- Durable construction: Made from 2mm galvanised steel for strength, stiffness, and long service life.
- Corrosion resistance: Zinc coating provides lasting protection against rust in dry or damp environments.
- Secure load transfer: Deep seat section distributes weight evenly into the supporting masonry.
- Fire performance: Rated A1 Non-Combustible, suitable for use in fire-rated building assemblies.
- Ease of installation: Pre-punched fixing holes simplify positioning and ensure consistent anchoring.
- Application suitability: 100mm internal width accommodates wide or double joists, while the 125mm leg length offers balanced embedment for secure joist seating and stable load distribution.
Applications
- Timber floor construction: For securely supporting double or large-section timber joists built into block or brick walls.
- Roof structures: Used where wide, engineered, or paired rafter joists connect to masonry walls.
- Timber decking: Suitable for fixing large or double deck joists and beams into masonry supports.
- Refurbishment works: Ideal for strengthening or replacing wide or structural joist connections in existing masonry.
Installation Guidance
- Positioning: Set the hanger in place before laying the joist, ensuring the bearing is fully supported by masonry.
- Fixing to masonry: Use suitable nails or anchor fixings in the pre-punched holes to secure the hanger.
- Joist seating: Insert the joist flush into the hanger seat, ensuring full contact with the bearing plate.
- Alignment check: Confirm level and line before final fixing to maintain uniform joist spacing.
Compliance & Performance
- Material specification: Formed from 2mm thick galvanised steel for consistent mechanical performance.
- Corrosion protection: Zinc coating to BS EN 10346 for reliable anti-corrosion performance.
- Fire rating: Classified A1 Non-Combustible in accordance with EN 13501-1.
- Load capacity: Designed for standard domestic floor and roof loading conditions.
- Manufacturing standard: Produced under controlled conditions to relevant UK and EU building hardware standards.
- Important note: Always ensure adequate masonry strength and correct fixings are used to achieve rated load performance.

How delivery works
We work with a nationwide network of trusted suppliers. Items in your basket may be supplied by different suppliers and delivered separately. Where this applies, you will see delivery charges shown at checkout for each part of your order. We always aim to group products from the same supplier to keep delivery costs as low as possible.
Delivery areas
Delivery charges apply to mainland UK, excluding: AB, CA, CF, DD, DG, EH, EX, FK, KA, KW, KY, IV, LA, LD, LL, ML, NP, PA, PH, PL, SA, SY, TR, TQ and TD.
If your address is in one of these areas, we will contact you before processing your order to confirm any additional costs. We do not currently offer delivery outside the UK mainland.
What to expect on delivery day
- Deliveries are typically kerbside.
- Please ensure someone is on-site to accept delivery. For heavier items, help with offloading may be required.
- Many building materials arrive on large vehicles. If access is restricted, a specialist vehicle such as a HIAB may be required and could incur an additional charge.
Why delivery can cost more than typical parcel delivery
Building materials often travel on larger vehicles and usually carry fewer drops per run than parcel networks. That is why delivery charges can be higher than standard e-commerce shipping.
Returns
Returns depend on what you have bought and whether there is anything wrong with it. For full details on eligibility, timeframes, and exclusions, please see our full policy.
