How delivery works
We work with a nationwide network of trusted suppliers. Items in your basket may be supplied by different suppliers and delivered separately. Where this applies, you will see delivery charges shown at checkout for each part of your order. We always aim to group products from the same supplier to keep delivery costs as low as possible.
Delivery areas
Delivery charges apply to mainland UK, excluding: AB, CA, CF, DD, DG, EH, EX, FK, KA, KW, KY, IV, LA, LD, LL, ML, NP, PA, PH, PL, SA, SY, TR, TQ and TD.
If your address is in one of these areas, we will contact you before processing your order to confirm any additional costs. We do not currently offer delivery outside the UK mainland.
What to expect on delivery day
- Deliveries are typically kerbside.
- Please ensure someone is on-site to accept delivery. For heavier items, help with offloading may be required.
- Many building materials arrive on large vehicles. If access is restricted, a specialist vehicle such as a HIAB may be required and could incur an additional charge.
Why delivery can cost more than typical parcel delivery
Building materials often travel on larger vehicles and usually carry fewer drops per run than parcel networks. That is why delivery charges can be higher than standard e-commerce shipping.
Returns
Returns depend on what you have bought and whether there is anything wrong with it. For full details on eligibility, timeframes, and exclusions, please see our full policy.

Product Overview
Plastic Insulation Retaining Clips with an 80mm length. These durable polypropylene fasteners hold insulation boards or batts securely in place against wall ties within cavity wall systems.
Each clip locks onto the wall tie, maintaining firm insulation contact with the inner leaf and preventing slippage or displacement over time. The rigid plastic material is corrosion-proof and moisture-resistant, ensuring long-term performance within the cavity environment.
These clips are specifically suited to full-fill insulation applications where thicker insulation boards are used and a longer clip is required to achieve a correct fit.
Their design allows quick, tool-free attachment to standard wire or strip wall ties, streamlining installation across both new-build and retrofit projects.
By ensuring the insulation remains correctly positioned throughout construction and building life, the clips contribute to consistent thermal efficiency and wall integrity. Their extended 80mm size provides reliable support for deeper insulation layers while maintaining the designed cavity clearance.
Features & Benefits
- Material construction: Moulded from robust polypropylene offering resistance to corrosion, moisture, and temperature variation within cavity walls.
- Universal compatibility: Fits a wide range of wall tie types used in masonry cavity construction, simplifying specification and ordering.
- Firm grip retention: Locks positively onto the wall tie to prevent insulation movement or sagging once positioned.
- Ease of installation: Quick push-fit action allows clips to be attached by hand without special tools, improving site efficiency.
- Lightweight and durable: Low mass for easy handling yet strong enough to maintain grip throughout the life of the wall.
- Clip length: The 80mm clip length provides a secure fit for thicker insulation layers used in full-fill cavity wall systems. It suits dense or deep insulation boards, ensuring proper seating and reliable retention.
Applications
- Full-fill cavity walls: Designed for use with insulation boards or batts that completely occupy the cavity space.
- Thicker insulation materials: Suitable for rigid or dense insulation boards where increased thickness requires a longer retaining clip.
- New-build and high-performance projects: Effective for modern wall systems designed to achieve higher thermal efficiency through deeper insulation.
- General wall tie insulation retention: Provides reliable insulation restraint across various domestic and commercial wall constructions.
- Heavy-duty cavity wall systems: Used during construction to maintain insulation alignment and prevent movement in full-fill applications.
Installation Guidance
- Preparation: Confirm wall ties are installed at correct centres and embedded as per design.
- Clip fitting: Push each clip onto the wall tie until it snaps securely into position.
- Insulation placement: Position the insulation board flush against the inner leaf of the wall.
- Securing: Press the clip head against the insulation surface until firm retention is achieved.
- Check alignment: Inspect that clips are evenly spaced and insulation remains flat with no gaps.
- Spacing compliance: Follow project or manufacturer’s recommendations for wall tie and clip spacing to ensure adequate support.
Compliance & Performance
- Material specification: Manufactured from polypropylene approved for use in cavity wall environments; resistant to degradation and chemical exposure.
- Retention strength: Tested for secure grip on standard wall ties and consistent hold of insulation during and after construction.
- Environmental suitability: Withstands the damp, alkaline, and thermally varied conditions found within masonry cavities.
- Regulatory alignment: Suitable for use in UK cavity wall insulation systems in accordance with relevant building standards and installation guidance.
- Important note: These clips are designed solely to retain insulation in place on wall ties; they are not intended for structural load-bearing applications.
