Product Overview
Metal Hammer Fixings with a 6mm shank diameter and 50mm length. These fixings provide a rapid installation method for securing materials to masonry, concrete, and blockwork.
Manufactured with a durable zinc-plated steel nail and precision-formed expansion sleeve, they ensure a tight and secure fixing once driven into position.
Designed for use with timber battens, frames, and metal brackets, these fixings enable clean, flush installation with minimal drilling time.
The 6mm shank diameter provides accurate drilling alignment and controlled expansion for consistent retention across all substrate types. The 50mm length achieves deeper embedment for secure anchorage in dense concrete or stone, providing higher load capacity for heavier fixtures.
Features & Benefits
- Fast installation: Hammer-driven design eliminates the need for screw tightening.
- Secure hold: Steel expansion action provides firm anchorage in solid substrates.
- Durable finish: Zinc-plated steel resists corrosion and wear.
- Reliable performance: Withstands vibration and thermal movement without loosening.
- Versatile use: Suitable for masonry, concrete, and blockwork.
- 6mm shank diameter: Matches standard masonry bit size for accurate drilling, controlled expansion, and consistent retention across all substrate types.
- 50mm length: Provides deeper embedment and increased holding power for heavier-duty fixings in dense masonry or concrete.
Applications
- Timber battens: For fixing medium to heavy battens to concrete or blockwork.
- Frames and brackets: For securing larger frames, rails, or structural brackets.
- Electrical equipment: For mounting heavier trunking or junction boxes to masonry.
- Pipe clips and supports: For anchoring pipe brackets or support rails into solid substrates.
Installation Guidance
- Drill preparation: Use a 6mm masonry bit to the required depth.
- Clean hole: Remove dust to ensure correct expansion.
- Insert fixing: Place through fixture and into the hole.
- Drive nail: Hammer in the steel pin until fully seated and expanded.
- Final check: Ensure fixing is flush and secure against the surface.
Compliance & Performance
- Material specification: Zinc-plated steel nail with precision-formed steel sleeve.
- Performance rating: Suitable for medium to heavy-duty loads in solid masonry or concrete.
- Corrosion protection: Complies with standard indoor exposure conditions.
- Installation safety: Eye protection recommended during hammering.
- Important note: Do not reuse or overtighten; always confirm substrate integrity before installation.

How delivery works
We work with a nationwide network of trusted suppliers. Items in your basket may be supplied by different suppliers and delivered separately. Where this applies, you will see delivery charges shown at checkout for each part of your order. We always aim to group products from the same supplier to keep delivery costs as low as possible.
Delivery areas
Delivery charges apply to mainland UK, excluding: AB, CA, CF, DD, DG, EH, EX, FK, KA, KW, KY, IV, LA, LD, LL, ML, NP, PA, PH, PL, SA, SY, TR, TQ and TD.
If your address is in one of these areas, we will contact you before processing your order to confirm any additional costs. We do not currently offer delivery outside the UK mainland.
What to expect on delivery day
- Deliveries are typically kerbside.
- Please ensure someone is on-site to accept delivery. For heavier items, help with offloading may be required.
- Many building materials arrive on large vehicles. If access is restricted, a specialist vehicle such as a HIAB may be required and could incur an additional charge.
Why delivery can cost more than typical parcel delivery
Building materials often travel on larger vehicles and usually carry fewer drops per run than parcel networks. That is why delivery charges can be higher than standard e-commerce shipping.
Returns
Returns depend on what you have bought and whether there is anything wrong with it. For full details on eligibility, timeframes, and exclusions, please see our full policy.
