How delivery works
We work with a nationwide network of trusted suppliers. Items in your basket may be supplied by different suppliers and delivered separately. Where this applies, you will see delivery charges shown at checkout for each part of your order. We always aim to group products from the same supplier to keep delivery costs as low as possible.
Delivery areas
Delivery charges apply to mainland UK, excluding: AB, CA, CF, DD, DG, EH, EX, FK, KA, KW, KY, IV, LA, LD, LL, ML, NP, PA, PH, PL, SA, SY, TR, TQ and TD.
If your address is in one of these areas, we will contact you before processing your order to confirm any additional costs. We do not currently offer delivery outside the UK mainland.
What to expect on delivery day
- Deliveries are typically kerbside.
- Please ensure someone is on-site to accept delivery. For heavier items, help with offloading may be required.
- Many building materials arrive on large vehicles. If access is restricted, a specialist vehicle such as a HIAB may be required and could incur an additional charge.
Why delivery can cost more than typical parcel delivery
Building materials often travel on larger vehicles and usually carry fewer drops per run than parcel networks. That is why delivery charges can be higher than standard e-commerce shipping.
Returns
Returns depend on what you have bought and whether there is anything wrong with it. For full details on eligibility, timeframes, and exclusions, please see our full policy.

Product Overview
Bright Zinc-Plated Steel Coach Bolt with an M6 thread and 30mm length in a 200/Pack.
High-performance mild steel bolt featuring a smooth, domed head and square neck, designed to provide a secure, tamper-resistant fixing in timber, metal or masonry when used with a suitable nut and washer.
Bright zinc-plated coating enhances corrosion resistance and provides a clean, professional finish suited to interior and exterior applications.
Manufactured to metric thread standards for consistent torque performance and reliable assembly with matching M-series components.
Supplied with a 6mm thread diameter for light-duty fixing, ideal for general joinery, fencing, and assembly applications where moderate clamping force is sufficient.
Features & Benefits
- Corrosion-resistant finish: Bright zinc-plated coating protects against rust and oxidation in normal atmospheric exposure.
- Square-neck design: Prevents rotation when tightened, ensuring secure locking into timber or preformed holes.
- Smooth domed head: Provides a tamper-resistant and visually tidy external face when fully seated.
- High-strength steel body: Delivers excellent tensile performance for structural fastening and general construction use.
- Consistent metric thread: Fully compatible with standard M-series nuts and washers for quick assembly.
- Light-duty cladding and trim fixing: Suitable for joinery, fencing, and small timber assemblies where moderate holding strength is sufficient.
Applications
- Timber construction: Secures timber-to-timber and timber-to-metal connections.
- Framing and joinery: Used in door frames, fencing, posts, and decking structures.
- Masonry fixing (with plug or anchor): Suitable for bolting through brick or block where threaded embedment is required.
- Heavy-duty cladding and subframe works: Provides structural integrity in load-bearing installations.
- General building and refurbishment: Universal fixing for exterior and interior structural assembly.
Installation Guidance
- Preparation: Drill a pilot hole slightly larger than the square neck to seat the bolt head flush.
- Assembly: Insert the bolt from the finished face so the domed head remains visible; secure from the rear with a matching washer and nut.
- Tightening: Hold the nut and tighten to specified torque - the square neck will self-lock to prevent rotation.
- Corrosion protection: Use in dry or moderately exposed environments; for aggressive or coastal conditions, specify hot-dip galvanised or stainless alternatives.
- Safety note: Ensure correct bolt grade and length selection to achieve required structural performance.
Compliance & Performance
- Material specification: Mild steel with bright zinc electroplated finish.
- Thread form: Metric coarse (ISO standard).
- Mechanical properties: Manufactured to conform with BS EN ISO 898-1 for bolt performance class 4.8 or higher.
- Corrosion resistance: Zinc plating provides protective barrier for standard building exposure categories.
- Temperature range: Suitable for service between -20 °C and +80 °C.
- Recyclability: Fully recyclable steel product.
- Important note: Always use matching zinc-plated nuts and washers to maintain full corrosion protection.
