How delivery works
We work with a nationwide network of trusted suppliers. Items in your basket may be supplied by different suppliers and delivered separately. Where this applies, you will see delivery charges shown at checkout for each part of your order. We always aim to group products from the same supplier to keep delivery costs as low as possible.
Delivery areas
Delivery charges apply to mainland UK, excluding: AB, CA, CF, DD, DG, EH, EX, FK, KA, KW, KY, IV, LA, LD, LL, ML, NP, PA, PH, PL, SA, SY, TR, TQ and TD.
If your address is in one of these areas, we will contact you before processing your order to confirm any additional costs. We do not currently offer delivery outside the UK mainland.
What to expect on delivery day
- Deliveries are typically kerbside.
- Please ensure someone is on-site to accept delivery. For heavier items, help with offloading may be required.
- Many building materials arrive on large vehicles. If access is restricted, a specialist vehicle such as a HIAB may be required and could incur an additional charge.
Why delivery can cost more than typical parcel delivery
Building materials often travel on larger vehicles and usually carry fewer drops per run than parcel networks. That is why delivery charges can be higher than standard e-commerce shipping.
Returns
Returns depend on what you have bought and whether there is anything wrong with it. For full details on eligibility, timeframes, and exclusions, please see our full policy.

Product Overview
Galvanised Round Wire Nails in 50mm length. These dependable, corrosion-resistant fixings are designed for timber construction, fencing, and general joinery work.
Each nail is formed from low-carbon steel with a smooth round shank and broad flat head that together provide secure clamping strength and consistent driving performance.
The hot-dip galvanised coating delivers lasting protection against rust and moisture exposure, ensuring reliability in exterior or damp-service environments. A tapered point allows clean penetration and reduces splitting when fixing close to edges or through dense timber.
This length is suitable for light to medium-duty fixings, such as joinery, panel attachment, and general timber connections where moderate penetration and neat finish are required.
Features & Benefits
- Robust construction: Steel round wire nails with flat heads provide reliable strength and consistent impact performance.
- Galvanised protection: Hot-dip zinc coating resists rust and corrosion in outdoor or damp applications.
- Secure hold in timber: Smooth shank design offers dependable frictional grip in softwoods and most hardwoods.
- Clean driving action: Tapered point minimises splitting and enables smooth penetration.
- Versatile head design: Broad flat head distributes pressure evenly and can be set flush or punched below the surface.
- Size selection: Choose 50mm nails for lighter studwork, batten fixing, and general timber construction where reduced embedment is sufficient.
- Pack format: Supplied in 1kg pack.
Applications
- Timber framing and joinery: Provides a secure fixing for panels, trims, and general light structural work.
- Studwork and partitioning: Ideal for assembling internal frames and fittings where consistent drive and grip are required.
- Fencing and external joinery: Suitable for attaching lighter rails, boards, and other exterior timber components.
- Decking and landscaping: Offers reliable hold in treated timber exposed to moisture and weathering.
- General construction: Appropriate for light to medium-duty fixing tasks where strength and corrosion protection are essential.
Installation Guidance
- Pilot and positioning: Drive square to the surface; pre-drill near edges or in dense hardwoods.
- Driving technique: Use firm, controlled hammer blows for full penetration.
- Embedment depth: Allow sufficient penetration for secure anchorage without excess protrusion.
- Corrosion pairing: Use with galvanised or treated fittings for best performance.
Compliance & Performance
- Material and finish: Low-carbon steel with a hot-dip galvanised coating for corrosion resistance.
- Service environment: Suitable for outdoor, damp, or semi-exposed conditions; not for full immersion.
- Mechanical characteristics: Provides high frictional grip strength under normal construction loads.
- Important note: Always wear eye protection and gloves during use; dispose of bent or damaged nails safely.
