How delivery works
We work with a nationwide network of trusted suppliers. Items in your basket may be supplied by different suppliers and delivered separately. Where this applies, you will see delivery charges shown at checkout for each part of your order. We always aim to group products from the same supplier to keep delivery costs as low as possible.
Delivery areas
Delivery charges apply to mainland UK, excluding: AB, CA, CF, DD, DG, EH, EX, FK, KA, KW, KY, IV, LA, LD, LL, ML, NP, PA, PH, PL, SA, SY, TR, TQ and TD.
If your address is in one of these areas, we will contact you before processing your order to confirm any additional costs. We do not currently offer delivery outside the UK mainland.
What to expect on delivery day
- Deliveries are typically kerbside.
- Please ensure someone is on-site to accept delivery. For heavier items, help with offloading may be required.
- Many building materials arrive on large vehicles. If access is restricted, a specialist vehicle such as a HIAB may be required and could incur an additional charge.
Why delivery can cost more than typical parcel delivery
Building materials often travel on larger vehicles and usually carry fewer drops per run than parcel networks. That is why delivery charges can be higher than standard e-commerce shipping.
Returns
Returns depend on what you have bought and whether there is anything wrong with it. For full details on eligibility, timeframes, and exclusions, please see our full policy.

Product Overview
STS Construction Board with a 9mm thickness and 2400mm x 1200mm sheet size. This high-density cementitious fibre board is designed for use in wet areas, structural lining, and tile-backing installations.
It offers exceptional dimensional stability, moisture resistance, and mechanical strength compared with traditional plasterboard systems. Manufactured from a blend of cement, mineral fillers, and cellulose fibres, the board provides a robust, impact-resistant substrate that will not degrade or swell when exposed to humidity.
Its smooth, factory-finished surface is suitable for direct tiling, finishing, or decorative coatings. The 9mm thickness provides mid-weight rigidity and load-bearing strength for wall, ceiling, and flooring applications requiring a strong, durable substrate.
Features & Benefits
- High moisture resistance: Ideal for bathrooms, showers, and wet-room environments where stability is essential.
- High density and strength: Provides excellent impact resistance and rigidity under load.
- Versatile substrate: Suitable for direct tiling, render, or decorative finishes without additional treatment.
- Dimensional stability: Maintains form and flatness even in fluctuating humidity or temperature.
- Durable composition: Resistant to mould, rot, and disintegration over time.
- Sheet size and thickness: 2400mm x 1200mm board with 9mm thickness suited to general-purpose lining and flooring.
Applications
- Wall lining: Provides a durable, moisture-resistant substrate for tiled or finished surfaces.
- Floor underlay: Acts as a stable base layer beneath tiles or finishes in wet areas.
- Ceiling lining: Used where enhanced fire and moisture resistance is required overhead.
- Wet rooms and showers: Ideal for direct application behind waterproofing systems.
Installation Guidance
- Cutting: Score and snap using a tungsten or carbide knife; mechanical saws may be used with dust extraction.
- Fixing: Secure to framework or solid substrate using corrosion-resistant screws or fixings at regular intervals.
- Joint treatment: Reinforce joints with alkali-resistant mesh tape and suitable jointing compound or waterproof membrane.
- Finishing: Ensure surface is clean and dust-free before applying tile adhesive, render, or finish coat.
Compliance & Performance
- Material composition: Fibre-cement board manufactured to EN 12467 standards.
- Moisture performance: Water-resistant and dimensionally stable in humid and wet environments.
- Fire performance: Non-combustible to Euroclass A1 for enhanced fire safety.
- Environmental compliance: Contains no asbestos or harmful additives and meets EUTR timber regulations.
- Important note: Always handle with suitable PPE and follow manufacturer installation guidance to maintain certification and fire rating.
