How delivery works
We work with a nationwide network of trusted suppliers. Items in your basket may be supplied by different suppliers and delivered separately. Where this applies, you will see delivery charges shown at checkout for each part of your order. We always aim to group products from the same supplier to keep delivery costs as low as possible.
Delivery areas
Delivery charges apply to mainland UK, excluding: AB, CA, CF, DD, DG, EH, EX, FK, KA, KW, KY, IV, LA, LD, LL, ML, NP, PA, PH, PL, SA, SY, TR, TQ and TD.
If your address is in one of these areas, we will contact you before processing your order to confirm any additional costs. We do not currently offer delivery outside the UK mainland.
What to expect on delivery day
- Deliveries are typically kerbside.
- Please ensure someone is on-site to accept delivery. For heavier items, help with offloading may be required.
- Many building materials arrive on large vehicles. If access is restricted, a specialist vehicle such as a HIAB may be required and could incur an additional charge.
Why delivery can cost more than typical parcel delivery
Building materials often travel on larger vehicles and usually carry fewer drops per run than parcel networks. That is why delivery charges can be higher than standard e-commerce shipping.
Returns
Returns depend on what you have bought and whether there is anything wrong with it. For full details on eligibility, timeframes, and exclusions, please see our full policy.

Product Overview
9mm Plain Capping Board in Black Ash finish measuring 150mm x 5m. Lightweight PVC-U fascia covering board designed to cap over existing sound timber fascias, providing a clean, maintenance-free external finish. The 9mm thickness offers a slim protective layer suitable for refurbishment and replacement projects without full fascia removal.
Manufactured from rigid, UV-stabilised PVC-U to deliver long-term colour stability, weather resistance and dimensional accuracy.
Provides a neat, smooth front face to conceal worn substrates and maintain consistent lines along roof edges and eaves. Supplied in 5m lengths to reduce joint frequency and simplify installation on long runs.
The black ash finish delivers a bold, textured appearance ideal for defined roof edges and contrast trims.
Features & Benefits
- Durable PVC-U construction: Rigid, non-corrosive board resists warping, cracking and discolouration under prolonged exposure.
- Low-maintenance finish: Requires only periodic cleaning; no painting or sealing necessary.
- Refurbishment-grade thickness (9mm): Designed to cap over existing timber fascias that remain structurally sound.
- Weather and UV resistant: Protects underlying substrates against moisture ingress and sunlight degradation.
- Colour-matched system: Complementary finish to suit soffit, cladding and roofline components.
- Simple installation: Lightweight boards cut easily on site and fix securely using colour-matched Polytop nails or screws.
Applications
- Fascia refurbishment: Caps over existing timber fascias to renew appearance without full replacement.
- Roofline finishing: Provides a smooth, uniform edge detail below eaves or verges.
- Porch and canopy edges: Creates a clean perimeter finish around smaller roof structures.
- Compatible with soffit and gutter systems: Designed for use with standard PVC-U roofline accessories.
- Decorative use: Provides a matching trim line for complementary cladding systems.
Installation Guidance
- Preparation: Ensure the existing fascia is sound, dry and securely fixed before capping.
- Cutting: Use a fine-tooth saw for clean edges; trial-fit sections prior to fixing.
- Fixing: Secure through the board into the existing fascia with colour-matched Polytop nails or screws at regular centres.
- Jointing: Stagger or butt-joint boards using matching cover trims or corner profiles.
- Finishing: Wipe clean after installation; no additional treatment required.
