How delivery works
We work with a nationwide network of trusted suppliers. Items in your basket may be supplied by different suppliers and delivered separately. Where this applies, you will see delivery charges shown at checkout for each part of your order. We always aim to group products from the same supplier to keep delivery costs as low as possible.
Delivery areas
Delivery charges apply to mainland UK, excluding: AB, CA, CF, DD, DG, EH, EX, FK, KA, KW, KY, IV, LA, LD, LL, ML, NP, PA, PH, PL, SA, SY, TR, TQ and TD.
If your address is in one of these areas, we will contact you before processing your order to confirm any additional costs. We do not currently offer delivery outside the UK mainland.
What to expect on delivery day
- Deliveries are typically kerbside.
- Please ensure someone is on-site to accept delivery. For heavier items, help with offloading may be required.
- Many building materials arrive on large vehicles. If access is restricted, a specialist vehicle such as a HIAB may be required and could incur an additional charge.
Why delivery can cost more than typical parcel delivery
Building materials often travel on larger vehicles and usually carry fewer drops per run than parcel networks. That is why delivery charges can be higher than standard e-commerce shipping.
Returns
Returns depend on what you have bought and whether there is anything wrong with it. For full details on eligibility, timeframes, and exclusions, please see our full policy.

Product Overview
Bolt Down Post Support with a 75mm x 75mm internal socket designed for securing smaller timber fence posts to solid surfaces where excavation is not feasible.
Constructed from heavy-gauge galvanised steel for durability, it provides a stable and rust-resistant base for lighter post structures.
The welded box section holds the post square and upright, while pre-drilled base holes enable rapid anchoring to concrete, paving, or timber decking. Suitable for garden fencing, pergolas, and balustrades where a clean and precise fixing point is required.
Internal size of 75mm x 75mm (3" x 3") suits standard medium-duty posts used in domestic applications.
Features & Benefits
- Galvanised steel construction: Provides high corrosion resistance and ensures reliable long-term outdoor performance.
- Rigid box section socket: Maintains post alignment and prevents movement under load.
- Bolt-down base plate: Enables secure fixing to existing hard surfaces without excavation.
- Pre-drilled fixing holes: Allow straightforward anchoring using expansion bolts or coach screws.
- Internal socket size 75mm x 75mm (3" x 3"): Fits standard domestic post sections for medium-duty fencing or structures.
Applications
- Fence post mounting: Provides a stable base for lightweight or medium-height fencing on paved areas.
- Garden structure support: Suitable for pergolas, trellises, or light framing where ground fixing is impractical.
- Decking post installation: Secures posts to timber or composite deck surfaces for balustrade or railing systems.
Installation Guidance
- Surface preparation: Ensure the substrate is level, clean, and capable of bearing load before installation.
- Positioning: Align the support plate to the required line before marking fixing holes.
- Fixing: Drill and insert suitable masonry or timber anchors through the base plate holes.
- Post fitting: Insert the post fully into the socket and secure with through-bolts or coach screws.
Compliance & Performance
- Material specification: Heavy-gauge galvanised steel with welded joints for enhanced strength and rigidity.
- Corrosion protection: Hot-dip galvanised coating for long-term resistance to rust and environmental exposure.
- Load performance: Suitable for domestic and decorative structures subject to light wind and impact loads.
- Important note: Ensure fixings are appropriate for the substrate and post size to maintain full load capacity.
