70mm Kingspan TF70 Thermafloor insulation is a PIR floor insulation board that prevents heat loss through floors. These boards are ideal for installation in solid concrete and suspended timber ground floors. Each board has a thermal conductivity of 0.022 W/mK, which is one of the lowest thermal values available on the market.

Homeowners can reduce their energy bills by around a tenth by investing in Kingspan Thermafloor boards. This high-performance board has undergone a series of tests and has been found to contain no asbestos or harmful heavy metals. Even better, each board is manufactured with eco-friendly practices in mind.

Kingspan Thermafloor is an insulant manufactured with a blowing agent that has zero Ozone Depletion Potential (zero ODP) and low Global Warming Potential (GWP), which gives it a Green Guide Rating of A+. TF70 boards are lightweight yet rigid. They are easy to handle and manoeuvre around even the smallest space.

We recommend Kingspan floor insulation boards for people who want excellent thermal protection and an easy installation process.

Thermafloor TF70 insulation is comprised of a high performance fibre free rigid thermoset polyisocyanurate PIR core that is sandwiched between two low-emissivity composite foil facings. Like a lot of the boards that Kingspan manufactures, TF70 boards are designed for specific purposes. We recommend Kingspan TF70 boards for people who want to reduce heat loss from their floors. Both solid concrete and suspended timber ground floors benefit from this premium insulation material.

120mm Kingspan floor insulation is guaranteed to improve the thermal envelope of your home. The PIR core also boasts a host of other benefits that ensure the longevity of the board. As well as being lightweight and rigid, each board is resistant to water vapour and air infiltration. For a long-lasting insulation material that will reduce your energy bills, look no further than Kingspan floor insulation.

This high performance rigid thermoset insulation board has a compressive strength that exceeds 100 kPa at 10% compression. It has a fire rating of F, which means it is easily flammable and will contribute to fire.

Kingspan Thermafloor TF70 Applications

Kingspan TF70 insulation is the floor PIR insulation board in the Therma range. As the name suggests, the Thermafloor range is designed to insulate floors. TF70 is suitable for installation in solid concrete and suspended ground floors. When used to insulate solid concrete, the boards can simply be laid on top of a damp proof membrane, which sits on top of the concrete floor. It can also be installed between the joists in a timber floor. Aluminium foil tape can be used to seal the board joints. This high performance insulation is also compatible with most underfloor heating systems.

Homeowners lose more than 10% of the heat in their homes through their floors. Other areas, such as walls and roofs, lose far more heat. Floor insulation is an often overlooked part of home improvement. Most homeowners who invest in Kingspan floor insulation do so to achieve a level of comfort as well as thermal protection.

Kingspan Thermafloor TF70 Water Resistance

Water-resistance is an important consideration for homeowners who want to invest a lump sum in home insulation. If your insulation materials are not resistant to water, you might have to deal with problems like dampness, rot, and fungi. These issues can impact the effectiveness and longevity of your materials.

Kingspan Thermafloor TF70 insulation is resistant to the passage of water. We recommend installing TF70 in conjunction with a build-up of water-resistant membranes and materials. This will ensure that your boards reach their maximum lifespan.

Kingspan Floor Insulation PIR Core

PIR is one of the most commonly produced insulation materials in the UK. It is extremely popular because it delivers excellent thermal protection far cheaper than high-end materials like phenolic insulation.

Kingspan Thermafloor TF70 has a rigid PIR core. Each board has a thermal conductivity - sometimes called thermal resistance - of 0.022 W/mK. This is one of the lowest thermal values that is available on the market. Homeowners who want optimal protection from heat loss should always invest in materials that have low thermal values.

There are lots of other benefits associated with PIR insulation. A cross-chemical reaction occurs during the manufacturing process, which creates a rigid structure. Despite being rigid, the boards are extremely lightweight. Kingspan TF70 insulation is ideal for lone professionals who do not want to deal with heavy materials.
