Product Overview
EPS150 Polystyrene Insulation Board with a 2400mm length, 1200mm width, and 25mm thickness.
Manufactured from expanded polystyrene beads fused into a rigid, lightweight sheet, this board provides reliable compressive strength and dimensional stability across a broad range of construction applications.
Rated to EPS150 grade, it achieves a compressive strength of 150 kPa, making it suitable for moderately loaded floor systems, industrial slabs, and heavier-duty insulation applications. While not a structural load-bearing element, EPS150 provides stable and consistent support beneath screeds, slabs, and flooring systems subject to commercial and industrial loading.
Designed for use in floors, walls, and roofs, it offers easy handling, precise cutting, and quick installation. The overall dimensions of 2400mm x 1200mm x 25mm make it ideal for low-profile thermal upgrades or overlay applications.
Features & Benefits
- High compressive strength: EPS150 rating provides 150 kPa resistance under compression, suitable for moderately loaded flooring and general insulation applications.
- Lightweight composition: Easy to handle, cut, and fit with standard tools, reducing installation time.
- Multi-application suitability: Compatible with floors, walls, and roofs in both new-build and retrofit projects.
- Board size 2400mm x 1200mm x 25mm: Provides broad coverage for low-depth insulation layers or overlay systems.
Applications
- Floor insulation: Suitable for solid and suspended floors where low-depth insulation is required.
- Wall lining and cavity fill: Provides thermal resistance in internal linings or cavity walls.
- Roof insulation: Used in flat or pitched roof systems under membranes or deck coverings.
- Perimeter insulation: Applicable for insulation continuity around slab edges or external walls.
Installation Guidance
- Surface preparation: Ensure substrate is level, clean, and dry before laying boards.
- Board fixing: Lay boards tightly with staggered joints to prevent thermal bridging.
- Adhesive or mechanical fixing: Use approved insulation adhesives or fixings suited to substrate and application.
- Cutting: Trim boards with a fine-toothed saw or hot wire cutter for accurate fitting.
- Protection: Avoid prolonged UV exposure and protect from solvents or hydrocarbons.
Compliance & Performance
- Material specification: Expanded polystyrene insulation conforming to BS EN 13163.
- Compressive strength: Minimum 150kPa at 10% compression.
- Thermal conductivity: Typical value 0.038 W/m·K.
- Important note: Always verify compatibility with adhesives and finishes to ensure material integrity.

How delivery works
We work with a nationwide network of trusted suppliers. Items in your basket may be supplied by different suppliers and delivered separately. Where this applies, you will see delivery charges shown at checkout for each part of your order. We always aim to group products from the same supplier to keep delivery costs as low as possible.
Delivery areas
Delivery charges apply to mainland UK, excluding: AB, CA, CF, DD, DG, EH, EX, FK, KA, KW, KY, IV, LA, LD, LL, ML, NP, PA, PH, PL, SA, SY, TR, TQ and TD.
If your address is in one of these areas, we will contact you before processing your order to confirm any additional costs. We do not currently offer delivery outside the UK mainland.
What to expect on delivery day
- Deliveries are typically kerbside.
- Please ensure someone is on-site to accept delivery. For heavier items, help with offloading may be required.
- Many building materials arrive on large vehicles. If access is restricted, a specialist vehicle such as a HIAB may be required and could incur an additional charge.
Why delivery can cost more than typical parcel delivery
Building materials often travel on larger vehicles and usually carry fewer drops per run than parcel networks. That is why delivery charges can be higher than standard e-commerce shipping.
Returns
Returns depend on what you have bought and whether there is anything wrong with it. For full details on eligibility, timeframes, and exclusions, please see our full policy.
