How delivery works

We work with a nationwide network of trusted suppliers. Items in your basket may be supplied by different suppliers and delivered separately. Where this applies, you will see delivery charges shown at checkout for each part of your order. We always aim to group products from the same supplier to keep delivery costs as low as possible.

Delivery areas

Delivery charges apply to mainland UK, excluding: AB, CA, CF, DD, DG, EH, EX, FK, KA, KW, KY, IV, LA, LD, LL, ML, NP, PA, PH, PL, SA, SY, TR, TQ and TD.

If your address is in one of these areas, we will contact you before processing your order to confirm any additional costs. We do not currently offer delivery outside the UK mainland.

What to expect on delivery day

  • Deliveries are typically kerbside.
  • Please ensure someone is on-site to accept delivery. For heavier items, help with offloading may be required.
  • Many building materials arrive on large vehicles. If access is restricted, a specialist vehicle such as a HIAB may be required and could incur an additional charge.

Why delivery can cost more than typical parcel delivery

Building materials often travel on larger vehicles and usually carry fewer drops per run than parcel networks. That is why delivery charges can be higher than standard e-commerce shipping.

Returns

Returns depend on what you have bought and whether there is anything wrong with it. For full details on eligibility, timeframes, and exclusions, please see our full policy.

Product Overview

Square Hole Clay Air Brick in a red finish, with a 140mm height and 215mm length, manufactured from high-quality fired clay for permanent, maintenance-free ventilation.

Designed to provide efficient airflow to underfloor voids, cavity walls, and structural spaces, preventing moisture build-up and condensation. Precision-moulded square perforations allow consistent airflow while maintaining structural integrity and weather resistance.

Natural clay composition ensures strength, frost resistance, and colour stability for long-term exterior use. Suitable for traditional and modern brickwork, coordinating with standard masonry coursing and aesthetic finishes.

Double-course height provides increased airflow for larger subfloor or void ventilation requirements. Traditional red clay tone complements common facing brickwork and heritage structures.

Features & Benefits

  • Durable clay construction: Fired at high temperature for long-lasting strength and weather resistance.
  • Square hole design: Ensures free airflow while maintaining stability and protection against ingress.
  • Colour-stable finish: Natural clay pigmentation resists fading and blends seamlessly with facing brickwork.
  • Frost and weather resistant: Suitable for external exposure in all UK climates.
  • Easy to integrate: Matches standard 215mm brick lengths for quick alignment during installation.
  • Size and ventilation capacity: Double-course height provides increased airflow for larger subfloor or void ventilation requirements.

Applications

  • Subfloor ventilation: Allows consistent air circulation beneath suspended timber floors to prevent damp and decay.
  • Cavity wall ventilation: Provides continuous airflow in wall cavities to reduce condensation risk.
  • General building ventilation: Suitable for garages, outbuildings, and structural air spaces.
  • Restoration and heritage work: Matches traditional clay facades and coursing.
  • New build integration: Fits modern cavity wall and insulation systems with standard coursing dimensions.

Installation Guidance

  • Positioning: Install evenly along wall base or ventilation line for balanced airflow.
  • Alignment: Maintain brick coursing; avoid obstructing openings with mortar or debris.
  • Combination use: Can be paired with plastic or clay ducting to extend airflow paths.
  • Weather protection: Fit with compatible grilles or cowls where required to prevent water ingress.
  • Maintenance: Inspect periodically to ensure openings remain free of obstruction.

Compliance & Performance

  • Material specification: Fired clay, frost-resistant, colour-stable.
  • Dimensions: 215mm standard brick length with 140mm height.
  • Ventilation type: Square perforations designed for free air movement.
  • Durability: Suitable for exposure categories in UK climatic conditions.
  • Important note: Air bricks should be installed unobstructed and above ground level to maintain effective ventilation.
