Product Overview

Blue Polypropylene Rope with a 12mm diameter and 200m length, supplied in a coil for ease of handling and storage.

General-purpose three-strand rope made from durable polypropylene fibre, offering strength, flexibility, and resistance to rot, mildew, and moisture.

Lightweight and buoyant, it floats on water, making it suitable for marine, agricultural, and domestic applications where buoyancy is beneficial.

Its lightweight construction ensures easy handling while maintaining reliable tensile strength for everyday securing, lifting, and tethering tasks. A UV-stabilised finish resists degradation and colour fading in outdoor use.

Largest diameter in range for high-strength applications, mooring lines, or heavy transport restraint.

Features & Benefits

  • Durable polypropylene construction: Resistant to rot, mildew, and most chemicals for long service life in outdoor or damp environments.
  • Three-strand twisted form: Provides balanced strength, flexibility, and easy knotting performance.
  • Lightweight and buoyant: Floats on water, ideal for marine or water-side use.
  • UV and weather resistance: Maintains tensile strength and colour stability under sunlight exposure.
  • Easy to handle and coil: Smooth texture allows rapid deployment and tidy storage.

Applications

  • Marine and boating: Suitable for mooring lines, fender ropes, and general deck use.
  • Construction and site work: Used for barrier marking, load securing, and general tie-downs.
  • Agricultural use: Ideal for securing covers, animal pens, and general farm applications.
  • Domestic and leisure: Commonly used for camping, garden projects, and household fastening.
  • Transport and logistics: Effective for bundling, restraining, or marking loads in transit.

Installation Guidance

  • Cutting and sealing: Use a heated blade or melt the cut end to prevent fraying.
  • Knotting: Tie using standard knots such as bowline or reef for secure fastening.
  • Inspection: Check for wear or UV damage before reuse in load-bearing tasks.
  • Storage: Keep dry and out of direct sunlight when not in use to prolong lifespan.

Compliance & Performance

  • Material specification: 100 % polypropylene, 3-strand twisted.
  • Water resistance: Fully waterproof and buoyant.
  • Temperature tolerance: Service range approximately -10 °C to +80 °C.
  • Safety guidance: Not certified for climbing, lifting, or load hoisting applications.
  • Important note: Select diameter appropriate to load requirement; replace if frayed or abraded.

How delivery works

We work with a nationwide network of trusted suppliers. Items in your basket may be supplied by different suppliers and delivered separately. Where this applies, you will see delivery charges shown at checkout for each part of your order. We always aim to group products from the same supplier to keep delivery costs as low as possible.

Delivery areas

Delivery charges apply to mainland UK, excluding: AB, CA, CF, DD, DG, EH, EX, FK, KA, KW, KY, IV, LA, LD, LL, ML, NP, PA, PH, PL, SA, SY, TR, TQ and TD.

If your address is in one of these areas, we will contact you before processing your order to confirm any additional costs. We do not currently offer delivery outside the UK mainland.

What to expect on delivery day

  • Deliveries are typically kerbside.
  • Please ensure someone is on-site to accept delivery. For heavier items, help with offloading may be required.
  • Many building materials arrive on large vehicles. If access is restricted, a specialist vehicle such as a HIAB may be required and could incur an additional charge.

Why delivery can cost more than typical parcel delivery

Building materials often travel on larger vehicles and usually carry fewer drops per run than parcel networks. That is why delivery charges can be higher than standard e-commerce shipping.

Returns

Returns depend on what you have bought and whether there is anything wrong with it. For full details on eligibility, timeframes, and exclusions, please see our full policy.
