Product Overview
Galvanised steel light-duty restraint strap with a 1200mm length and bend positioned at 100mm.
Manufactured from pre-galvanised mild steel, this restraint strap provides reliable structural anchorage for lightweight timber and masonry connections. It is ideal for vertical or horizontal restraint applications where moderate holding strength is required.
Factory-formed 90° bend positioned 100mm from the end allows direct fixing to perpendicular structural surfaces for secure wall plate or joist restraint, while precision-punched holes ensure secure fixing to timber, blockwork, or concrete.
With its corrosion-resistant galvanised finish, the strap offers lasting durability in internal and sheltered environments.
1200mm strap used for large-span or high-wall restraint applications requiring extra coverage.
Features & Benefits
- Galvanised steel: Formed from pre-galvanised mild steel for balanced strength and corrosion resistance.
- Bend configuration: Allows installation around joists, beams, or masonry with correct alignment.
- Fixing holes: Pre-punched at regular intervals for uniform load transfer and secure connection.
- Corrosion protection: Zinc coating prevents rust and degradation in service.
- Structural reliability: Suitable for restraint of light roof members, wall plates, and joists.
- Length: 1200mm provides maximum reach for extended restraint fixing or deep cavity applications.
Applications
- Roof restraint: For securing wall plates or light truss bearings.
- Joist connection: Provides restraint between timber joists and supporting masonry.
- Internal wall restraint: Used to tie internal walls or partitions to main structural members.
- General light-duty fixing: Appropriate where moderate restraint and corrosion protection are required.
Installation Guidance
- Fixing method: Secure with appropriate nails, screws, or bolts through pre-punched holes.
- Orientation: Install flat against the substrate for optimal bearing and strength.
- Support alignment: Ensure direct alignment between strap and fixing surface for load efficiency.
- Fastener selection: Use corrosion-resistant fixings to maintain system durability.
- Cutting or modification: Avoid field cutting to preserve galvanised coating and corrosion protection.
Compliance & Performance
- Material standard: Manufactured from galvanised steel to BS EN 10346 DX51D + Z275.
- Load suitability: Designed for light-duty restraint applications in accordance with BS 5268-3.
- Corrosion resistance: Zinc coating equivalent to 275 g/m² for long-term protection.
- Manufacturing quality: Produced under controlled conditions for dimensional accuracy and hole spacing.
- Important note: Always verify suitability of restraint strap type and length before installation in structural applications.

How delivery works
We work with a nationwide network of trusted suppliers. Items in your basket may be supplied by different suppliers and delivered separately. Where this applies, you will see delivery charges shown at checkout for each part of your order. We always aim to group products from the same supplier to keep delivery costs as low as possible.
Delivery areas
Delivery charges apply to mainland UK, excluding: AB, CA, CF, DD, DG, EH, EX, FK, KA, KW, KY, IV, LA, LD, LL, ML, NP, PA, PH, PL, SA, SY, TR, TQ and TD.
If your address is in one of these areas, we will contact you before processing your order to confirm any additional costs. We do not currently offer delivery outside the UK mainland.
What to expect on delivery day
- Deliveries are typically kerbside.
- Please ensure someone is on-site to accept delivery. For heavier items, help with offloading may be required.
- Many building materials arrive on large vehicles. If access is restricted, a specialist vehicle such as a HIAB may be required and could incur an additional charge.
Why delivery can cost more than typical parcel delivery
Building materials often travel on larger vehicles and usually carry fewer drops per run than parcel networks. That is why delivery charges can be higher than standard e-commerce shipping.
Returns
Returns depend on what you have bought and whether there is anything wrong with it. For full details on eligibility, timeframes, and exclusions, please see our full policy.
