Tyvek FireCurb Fire Retardant Membrane
FireCurb's flame retardant performance is just another benefit atop previous Tyvek characteristics, including wind, water and weather protection, vapour diffusion and energy efficiency.
The Tyvek FireCurb utilises the same airtight, watertight composition as regular Tyvek vapour-open breather membranes yet adds flame retardancy properties for even more comprehensive fire protection.
FireCurb's flame retardancy properties ensure low flammability with very limited contribution to fire. Tyvek FireCurb also limits flame propagation between floors in order to aid those who may be trying to evacuate a burning building.
The patented self-extinguishing FireCurb technology is behind this limitation of flame propagation; when ignited, the flames will simply die down and extinguish.
