Product Overview
Telescopic Underfloor Vent designed to provide continuous airflow beneath suspended ground floors. The vertically adjustable, or “telescopic,” body allows accurate alignment between the external air brick and the internal sub-floor void, accommodating varying foundation depths and floor levels.
Manufactured from robust, decay-resistant materials, the vent maintains long-term integrity even in damp or below-ground conditions.
A discreet integral grille prevents vermin ingress while allowing unobstructed air passage, ensuring effective and compliant sub-floor ventilation.
Features & Benefits
- Adjustable Installation Height: Telescopic body permits on-site adjustment to match differing foundation depths and sub-floor void levels.
- Consistent Airflow Performance: Maintains a clear, continuous ventilation path from the external wall to the sub-floor void, supporting effective underfloor ventilation.
- Integrated Vermin Protection: Built-in grille prevents entry of rodents and insects without reducing airflow efficiency.
- Durable Construction: Formed from hard-wearing, moisture-resistant materials that will not decay or corrode in below-ground conditions.
- Moisture Control: Promotes airflow to regulate humidity, reduce condensation, and prevent timber decay, fungal growth, and damp odours.
- Ease of Installation: Compact modular design enables straightforward fitting in new build and refurbishment projects, even where foundation heights vary.
Applications
- Sub-Floor Ventilation: Provides a direct and protected air passage between external air bricks and internal underfloor voids.
- Timber and Beam Floors: Essential for maintaining ventilation beneath suspended timber joists or beam-and-block flooring systems.
- Variable Foundation Depths: Adjusts easily to suit differing ground levels and non-standard sub-floor dimensions.
- New Build and Refurbishment: Suitable for both new constructions and upgrading existing properties requiring improved underfloor ventilation.
- Regulatory Compliance: Aids compliance with UK Building Regulations relating to sub-floor moisture and ventilation control.
Installation Guidance
- Positioning: Align the vent vertically between the external air brick and the sub-floor void to create a continuous airway.
- Adjustment: Extend or contract the telescopic section to match the foundation depth before fixing in place.
- Integration with Air Bricks: Ensure correct alignment with compatible air bricks for unrestricted airflow.
- Sealing and Protection: Seal around external joints where required to prevent water ingress while maintaining ventilation.
- Inspection: Verify the vent remains clear of obstruction and debris following installation and at routine maintenance intervals.
Compliance & Performance
- Material Specification: Manufactured from high-impact, decay-resistant plastic suitable for below-ground environments.
- Performance Function: Provides a maintained ventilation route in accordance with sub-floor moisture control requirements.
- Compatibility: Designed to interface with standard-sized air bricks and meet common foundation depth variations.
- Weather and Pest Resistance: Resistant to damp, corrosion, and vermin ingress, ensuring long service performance.
- Regulatory Reference: Supports compliance with Building Regulations Part C (Site Preparation and Resistance to Contaminants and Moisture).
- Important Note: Vent must be installed unobstructed to allow continuous airflow; do not block or restrict the ventilation path after installation.
Delivery & Returns Information
Delivery charges vary by product category and order value. Items may ship from different suppliers and arrive separately, so delivery charges can be shown per part of your order at checkout.

How delivery works
We work with a nationwide network of trusted suppliers. Items in your basket may be supplied by different suppliers and delivered separately. Where this applies, you will see delivery charges shown at checkout for each part of your order. We always aim to group products from the same supplier to keep delivery costs as low as possible.
Delivery areas
Delivery charges apply to mainland UK, excluding: AB, CA, CF, DD, DG, EH, EX, FK, KA, KW, KY, IV, LA, LD, LL, ML, NP, PA, PH, PL, SA, SY, TR, TQ and TD.
If your address is in one of these areas, we will contact you before processing your order to confirm any additional costs. We do not currently offer delivery outside the UK mainland.
What to expect on delivery day
- Deliveries are typically kerbside.
- Please ensure someone is on-site to accept delivery. For heavier items, help with offloading may be required.
- Many building materials arrive on large vehicles. If access is restricted, a specialist vehicle such as a HIAB may be required and could incur an additional charge.
Why delivery can cost more than typical parcel delivery
Building materials often travel on larger vehicles and usually carry fewer drops per run than parcel networks. That is why delivery charges can be higher than standard e-commerce shipping.
Returns
Returns depend on what you have bought and whether there is anything wrong with it. For full details on eligibility, timeframes, and exclusions, please see our full policy.
