Product Overview
Soudal PU Foam Remover in a 100ml pack is a ready-to-use gel formulated for the safe and efficient removal of cured polyurethane foam residues. Designed for professional and maintenance use, this high-activity solvent gel targets hardened foam deposits on non-porous substrates such as metal, PVC, and plastic surfaces.
Its odourless, hydrocarbon-free formulation ensures comfortable application in indoor or ventilated environments, while maintaining strong cleaning performance. The gel texture prevents run-off, enabling controlled use on vertical and precise areas without excessive spreading.
Fully water-soluble and biodegradable, it offers an effective, eco-conscious solution for post-installation cleaning and restoration work where cured PU foam residues must be completely removed.
The product is tan in colour and supplied in a compact 100ml container for ease of handling and economical application.
Features & Benefits
- High cleaning activity: Rapidly dissolves and loosens cured polyurethane foam residues for complete surface restoration.
- Odourless composition: Enables use in confined or occupied spaces without strong or unpleasant fumes.

- Non-porous surface compatibility: Safe for use on plastics, metals, and PVC when used as directed.
- Stable pH balance: Approximate pH 10.5 (10% in water), providing strong action while maintaining surface safety.
- Density specification: Approx. 1.54 ± 0.05 g/cm³, ensuring optimal viscosity for mechanical and chemical cleaning efficiency.
- Product volume – 100 ml: Compact size suited to detailed cleaning and controlled professional application.
Applications
- Foam residue removal: Eliminates hardened PU foam from metal, plastic, and PVC surfaces.
- Post-installation cleaning: Ideal for finishing work after foam sealing, fixing, or insulation applications.
- Equipment maintenance: Suitable for cleaning foam-affected tools and application accessories.
- Repair and refurbishment: Restores non-porous surfaces to original condition following PU foam exposure.
Installation Guidance
- Surface preparation: Mechanically remove or cut away as much cured foam as possible before applying the remover.
- Application method: Apply the gel evenly with the enclosed brush directly onto the remaining cured PU foam.
- Reaction time: Allow to act for a minimum of 30 minutes and a maximum of 2 hours depending on residue thickness.
- Removal: Use the enclosed spatula to lift softened foam and wipe the area with a dry cloth.
- Reapplication: Repeat if residues remain, following the same procedure.
- Cleaning: Finish by wiping with a damp cloth to remove any remaining product traces.
- Application temperature: Apply between +5 °C and +35 °C for optimal performance.
Compliance & Performance
- Base composition: Water-soluble solvents formulated for controlled chemical action on polyurethane residues.
- Consistency: Gel-based formulation for precise and contained application.
- Density: Approximately 1.54 ± 0.05 g/cm³ ensuring uniform coverage and stability during use.
- Solubility: Fully soluble in water for easy post-use cleaning.
- pH value: Approx. 10.5 (10% in water), confirming moderate alkalinity for effective action.
- Shelf life: 18 months in original unopened packaging when stored between +5 °C and +25 °C in a cool, dry location.

How delivery works
We work with a nationwide network of trusted suppliers. Items in your basket may be supplied by different suppliers and delivered separately. Where this applies, you will see delivery charges shown at checkout for each part of your order. We always aim to group products from the same supplier to keep delivery costs as low as possible.
Delivery areas
Delivery charges apply to mainland UK, excluding: AB, CA, CF, DD, DG, EH, EX, FK, KA, KW, KY, IV, LA, LD, LL, ML, NP, PA, PH, PL, SA, SY, TR, TQ and TD.
If your address is in one of these areas, we will contact you before processing your order to confirm any additional costs. We do not currently offer delivery outside the UK mainland.
What to expect on delivery day
- Deliveries are typically kerbside.
- Please ensure someone is on-site to accept delivery. For heavier items, help with offloading may be required.
- Many building materials arrive on large vehicles. If access is restricted, a specialist vehicle such as a HIAB may be required and could incur an additional charge.
Why delivery can cost more than typical parcel delivery
Building materials often travel on larger vehicles and usually carry fewer drops per run than parcel networks. That is why delivery charges can be higher than standard e-commerce shipping.
Returns
Returns depend on what you have bought and whether there is anything wrong with it. For full details on eligibility, timeframes, and exclusions, please see our full policy.
