Product Overview

Evo-Stik Gripfill Xtra in a 350ml cartridge is an extra-strong, multi-purpose construction adhesive designed for durable bonding across a broad range of materials.

Formulated as a high-performance gunnable paste, it provides rapid initial grab and long-term bond integrity, making it suitable for both professional and DIY applications.

The adhesive delivers exceptional holding power on porous and non-porous substrates, maintaining flexibility once cured to absorb minor movement and vibration.

Its fast-setting composition reduces installation downtime while offering dependable adhesion in interior and protected exterior conditions.

350ml cartridge ensures controlled, precise application through a standard cartridge gun, delivering consistent coverage and strength.

Features & Benefits

  • High bond strength: Provides a durable and reliable hold suitable for heavy materials and demanding bonding tasks.
  • Fast setting: Quick initial grab reduces waiting times, allowing for faster assembly and reduced need for mechanical fixing.
  • Versatile adhesion: Bonds effectively to both porous materials such as timber and plasterboard, and non-porous surfaces including metal, ceramic, and GRP.
  • Flexible performance: Maintains bond integrity under movement and temperature fluctuation between -30°C and +70°C.
  • Easy application: Supplied as a gunnable paste for controlled, even bead application through a standard extruder gun.
  • Extended coverage: Each 350ml cartridge provides approximately 12 metres of adhesive when applied as a 6mm bead, optimising material efficiency.

Applications

  • Interior bonding: Ideal for decorative wall panels, skirtings, architraves, timber battens, and dado rails.
  • Exterior bonding: Suitable for protected outdoor use, such as stair nosings, window frames, anddoor thresholds.
  • Construction materials: Bonds wood, hardboard, plywood, concrete, ceramics, metal, GRP, and plasterboard effectively.
  • Heavy object fixing: Can be used with the double-stick method for secure attachment of heavier or uneven items.

Installation Guidance

  • Surface preparation: Ensure all surfaces are clean, dry, and free from dust, grease, or loose coatings.
  • Priming porous materials: Apply a diluted PVA primer (1:5 with water) and allow to dry thoroughly before bonding.
  • Adhesive application: Cut nozzle to the desired bead width and apply a 6mm zig-zag bead for optimal contact.
  • Fixing and support: Press bonded materials firmly together for 30 seconds; support heavy items for 24 hours.
  • Cleaning: Remove uncured adhesive using white spirit; once cured, mechanical methods such as scraping or sanding are required.

Compliance & Performance

  • Material composition: Solvent-based synthetic rubber adhesive formulated for high initial grab and durable cured strength.
  • Performance range: Maintains full adhesion within temperatures from -30°C to +70°C, suitable for interior and sheltered exterior applications.
  • Application equipment: Compatible with standard sealant and adhesive extrusion guns for consistent bead delivery.
  • Storage guidance: Store between +5°C and +25°C in a dry, well-ventilated environment away from direct heat or flame.
  • Important note: Use only in well-ventilated areas; avoid contact with skin and eyes and follow all safety data sheet recommendations during handling and application.

How delivery works

We work with a nationwide network of trusted suppliers. Items in your basket may be supplied by different suppliers and delivered separately. Where this applies, you will see delivery charges shown at checkout for each part of your order. We always aim to group products from the same supplier to keep delivery costs as low as possible.

Delivery areas

Delivery charges apply to mainland UK, excluding: AB, CA, CF, DD, DG, EH, EX, FK, KA, KW, KY, IV, LA, LD, LL, ML, NP, PA, PH, PL, SA, SY, TR, TQ and TD.

If your address is in one of these areas, we will contact you before processing your order to confirm any additional costs. We do not currently offer delivery outside the UK mainland.

What to expect on delivery day

  • Deliveries are typically kerbside.
  • Please ensure someone is on-site to accept delivery. For heavier items, help with offloading may be required.
  • Many building materials arrive on large vehicles. If access is restricted, a specialist vehicle such as a HIAB may be required and could incur an additional charge.

Why delivery can cost more than typical parcel delivery

Building materials often travel on larger vehicles and usually carry fewer drops per run than parcel networks. That is why delivery charges can be higher than standard e-commerce shipping.

Returns

Returns depend on what you have bought and whether there is anything wrong with it. For full details on eligibility, timeframes, and exclusions, please see our full policy.
