Product Overview

Evercryl Roof Repair Grey in a 2.5kg one-coat format is a resin-based, fibre-reinforced roof repair compound formulated to deliver instant waterproofing on common roofing substrates. The compound can be applied in wet conditions and remains effective even during rainfall, enabling immediate intervention to stop leaks without waiting for surfaces to dry .

The high fibre reinforcement bridges small cracks and allows the product to form a continuous, flexible membrane that withstands thermal movement and conditions of surface ponding. Its lightfast acrylic polymer composition resists UV exposure more effectively than traditional bitumen-based coatings, supporting long-term roof maintenance.

The compound adheres without primer to most sound non-porous roofing materials, including felt, mastic asphalt, metals, slates, tiles, rigid uPVC and fibre-cement sheets. Its brush-grade viscosity ensures even spread and full coverage in a single coat when applied at the recommended yield of approximately 0.75m² per kilogram .

Suitable for emergency repairs and general roof refurbishment, the product can be used within a temperature range of -5°C to +35°C and forms an instantly waterproof surface on application, with full drying occurring over 6-7 days depending on film thickness and ambient conditions.

The 2.5kg volume is suited to medium-scale repair areas and more extensive waterproofing works.

Features & Benefits

  • Instant waterproofing: Forms a waterproof membrane immediately on application, making it suitable for emergency leak repairs.
  • Wet-surface application: Can be applied to damp and wet surfaces and remains effective in ongoing rainfall.
  • Fibre-reinforced formulation: Bridges small cracks and provides strengthened membrane performance for improved durability.
  • Lightfast acrylic polymers: Offers greater resistance to sunlight than traditional bitumen coatings for longer-lasting roof protection.
  • Primerless adhesion: Bonds directly to most bituminous and non-porous substrates without the need for a primer.
  • Flexible temperature use: Applies effectively between –5°C and +35°C for year-round maintenance work.
  • Single-coat coverage: One brush-applied layer provides complete waterproofing at the correct application rate.
  • Container size: 2.5kg provides sufficient quantity for medium-sized repair areas and broader roof sections.

Applications

  • General roof repair: Provides waterproofing for concrete, roofing felt, fibre-cement, bituminous coatings, mastic asphalt and metals.
  • Emergency leak sealing: Instantly waterproofs active leaks during rainfall.
  • Detailing and junctions: Suitable for flashings, upstands, vents and complex roof transitions.
  • Guttering and drainage components: Bonds to metal and plastic guttering, downpipes and gulley details.

Installation Guidance

  • Roof assessment: Ensure roof coverings are structurally sound before coating; replace damaged slates, tiles or felt as required.
  • Surface preparation: Clean the area thoroughly, removing dust, debris, grease, algae and fungal growth, treating biological residues with mould remover.
  • Defect correction: Fill holes with a compatible mastic, secure loose felt and seal blisters after drying and rebonding.
  • Priming porous substrates: Prime friable surfaces by diluting the product with white spirit (typically 1 part white spirit to 3 parts compound), ensuring full surface preparation.
  • Application technique: Stir well and apply by brush in a single continuous coat at 1-2 litres per square metre; a second coat may be added after 2-3 days in extreme conditions.
  • Tool cleaning: Clean tools immediately using white spirit or brush cleaner.

Compliance & Performance

  • Chemical base: Modified acrylic reinforced with Dralon fibres in a solvent blend.
  • Service temperature range: -25°C to +100°C once cured.
  • Elongation at break: 500% for flexible membrane performance.
  • Yield: Approximately 0.75m² per kilogram.
  • Drying time: 6-7 days depending on temperature, thickness and conditions.
  • Important note: Avoid use where solvent or oil exposure is likely; not suitable for Styrofoam or PVC foil, and vapour inhalation must be avoided.

How delivery works

We work with a nationwide network of trusted suppliers. Items in your basket may be supplied by different suppliers and delivered separately. Where this applies, you will see delivery charges shown at checkout for each part of your order. We always aim to group products from the same supplier to keep delivery costs as low as possible.

Delivery areas

Delivery charges apply to mainland UK, excluding: AB, CA, CF, DD, DG, EH, EX, FK, KA, KW, KY, IV, LA, LD, LL, ML, NP, PA, PH, PL, SA, SY, TR, TQ and TD.

If your address is in one of these areas, we will contact you before processing your order to confirm any additional costs. We do not currently offer delivery outside the UK mainland.

What to expect on delivery day

  • Deliveries are typically kerbside.
  • Please ensure someone is on-site to accept delivery. For heavier items, help with offloading may be required.
  • Many building materials arrive on large vehicles. If access is restricted, a specialist vehicle such as a HIAB may be required and could incur an additional charge.

Why delivery can cost more than typical parcel delivery

Building materials often travel on larger vehicles and usually carry fewer drops per run than parcel networks. That is why delivery charges can be higher than standard e-commerce shipping.

Returns

Returns depend on what you have bought and whether there is anything wrong with it. For full details on eligibility, timeframes, and exclusions, please see our full policy.
