Product Overview

Everbuild Liquid Roof Slate Grey in a 7kg tin is a fast-curing polyurethane waterproofing membrane designed for flat and pitched roofing applications. The formulation adheres strongly to both porous and non-porous substrates and provides a seamless waterproof layer suitable for new roof constructions and refurbishment of aged or leaking roofs.

The moisture-activated curing technology allows the membrane to use atmospheric humidity to form a durable coating without the need for catalysts, delivering rapid film formation and rain resistance within just 10 minutes. Its elasticity and vapour permeability support long-term roof performance by allowing the substrate to breathe while accommodating thermal movement.

The system can be reinforced where necessary and is compatible with concrete, mortar, brick, stone, fibre cement, tiles, metals and wood. When used on roofing felt, asphalt and bituminous coatings, full reinforcement is required to stabilise surfaces that may soften during application. Its ready-to-use consistency supports roller or brush application for rapid installation.

Apply in two coats to achieve a total durable thickness of >1mm, the membrane cures across a range of weather conditions and performs reliably once dry.

The 7kg capacity offers a practical quantity for medium-sized roof areas requiring seamless, applied waterproofing.

Features & Benefits

  • Fast-curing waterproof membrane: Rain resistant in 10 minutes for reliable on-site scheduling.
  • Moisture-activated curing: Requires no catalyst and cures effectively across variable weather conditions.
  • All-weather application: Performs in a wide range of ambient temperatures when applied correctly.
  • Seamless coating: Forms a continuous membrane for improved long-term water resistance.
  • Reinforceable system: Accepts fleece reinforcement where substrate movement or bituminous surfaces require stabilisation.
  • Breathable and elastic: Vapour permeable with sustained flexibility, supporting substrate movement at low temperatures.
  • Substrate versatility: Suitable for concrete, brick, stone, fibre cement, tiles, metals, wood and other common roofing materials.
  • Container size: 7kg is suitable for medium-sized roof areas requiring two-coat liquid waterproofing.

Applications

  • Flat and pitched roof waterproofing: Suitable for new construction and refurbishment works.
  • Surface restoration: Applied over concrete, tiles, fibre cement, stone, metals and timber substrates.
  • Bituminous surface treatment: Used with full reinforcement where applied to felt, asphalt or bitumen coatings.
  • Under-tile waterproofing: Provides a bonded waterproof layer beneath tiles on balconies and terraces.

Installation Guidance

  • Substrate preparation: Ensure substrates are structurally sound, dry and stable; repair cracks, secure loose elements and clean thoroughly.
  • Surface conditioning: Fill gaps with an appropriate sealant and prime porous or irregular areas at 0.25-0.3L/m² where required.
  • Application method: Apply using a soft-bristle brush or solvent-resistant roller; stir gently to unify colour without entraining air.
  • Coating sequence: Apply two coats at 1mm thickness each, allowing appropriate drying time between coats based on ambient conditions.
  • Reinforcement requirement: Use suitable fleece reinforcement on wood and all bituminous surfaces to stabilise movement and prevent softening.

Compliance & Performance

  • Tensile load: 370N reinforced.
  • Elongation at break: ~180% unreinforced; ~150% after heat ageing; ~50% reinforced.
  • Fire performance: Broof (t1); Reaction to Fire Euroclass E.
  • Application Conditions: Ambient +5°C to +40°C; Substrate +5°C to +60°C.
  • Service temperature: -30°C to +80°C (approximate performance range of cured membrane).
  • Water vapour diffusion (Sd): 3.47m for vapour-permeable performance.
  • Important note: Not suitable for permanent immersion, vertical surfaces or application during rainfall; opened product must be used in one operation due to moisture-reactive curing.

How delivery works

We work with a nationwide network of trusted suppliers. Items in your basket may be supplied by different suppliers and delivered separately. Where this applies, you will see delivery charges shown at checkout for each part of your order. We always aim to group products from the same supplier to keep delivery costs as low as possible.

Delivery areas

Delivery charges apply to mainland UK, excluding: AB, CA, CF, DD, DG, EH, EX, FK, KA, KW, KY, IV, LA, LD, LL, ML, NP, PA, PH, PL, SA, SY, TR, TQ and TD.

If your address is in one of these areas, we will contact you before processing your order to confirm any additional costs. We do not currently offer delivery outside the UK mainland.

What to expect on delivery day

  • Deliveries are typically kerbside.
  • Please ensure someone is on-site to accept delivery. For heavier items, help with offloading may be required.
  • Many building materials arrive on large vehicles. If access is restricted, a specialist vehicle such as a HIAB may be required and could incur an additional charge.

Why delivery can cost more than typical parcel delivery

Building materials often travel on larger vehicles and usually carry fewer drops per run than parcel networks. That is why delivery charges can be higher than standard e-commerce shipping.

Returns

Returns depend on what you have bought and whether there is anything wrong with it. For full details on eligibility, timeframes, and exclusions, please see our full policy.
