How delivery works

We work with a nationwide network of trusted suppliers. Items in your basket may be supplied by different suppliers and delivered separately. Where this applies, you will see delivery charges shown at checkout for each part of your order. We always aim to group products from the same supplier to keep delivery costs as low as possible.

Delivery areas

Delivery charges apply to mainland UK, excluding: AB, CA, CF, DD, DG, EH, EX, FK, KA, KW, KY, IV, LA, LD, LL, ML, NP, PA, PH, PL, SA, SY, TR, TQ and TD.

If your address is in one of these areas, we will contact you before processing your order to confirm any additional costs. We do not currently offer delivery outside the UK mainland.

What to expect on delivery day

  • Deliveries are typically kerbside.
  • Please ensure someone is on-site to accept delivery. For heavier items, help with offloading may be required.
  • Many building materials arrive on large vehicles. If access is restricted, a specialist vehicle such as a HIAB may be required and could incur an additional charge.

Why delivery can cost more than typical parcel delivery

Building materials often travel on larger vehicles and usually carry fewer drops per run than parcel networks. That is why delivery charges can be higher than standard e-commerce shipping.

Returns

Returns depend on what you have bought and whether there is anything wrong with it. For full details on eligibility, timeframes, and exclusions, please see our full policy.

Product Overview

Everbuild Exact Gap Expanding Foam Hand Held with a 500ml can volume. This precision-engineered polyurethane foam is formulated for minimal expansion, providing controlled gap filling where accuracy is critical.

Designed to deliver a fine, stable bead with low post-expansion, it reduces the need for excessive trimming and minimises material waste. The hand-held format ensures easy, direct application without specialist equipment, offering precise foam delivery for both domestic and professional installation work.

Once cured, the foam provides excellent adhesion, insulation, and structural stability across a wide range of substrates, maintaining dimensional integrity even in confined gaps. Its controlled expansion prevents surface stress or distortion to sensitive materials during use, ensuring a clean, reliable finish in every application.

Features & Benefits

  • Minimal expansion formulation: Ensures precise application with minimal waste and reduced cutting back once cured.
  • Controlled bead stability: Reduces risk of foam sagging, dripping, or falling onto surrounding surfaces.
  • Quick curing performance: Tack-free in 4–8 minutes and cuttable within 9–12 minutes, improving site efficiency.
  • High adhesion strength: Bonds securely to most common building materials including masonry, timber, and plastics.
  • Durable cured structure: Provides medium-fine cell structure with long-term temperature resistance from -40°C to +80°C.
  • Re-usable valve system: Rubber-free safety valve prevents clogging or leakage, allowing reuse of partially discharged cans.
  • Transport-safe design: Internal valve design allows safe storage and transport in both horizontal and vertical positions.
  • Temperature and storage stability: Optimum performance between 5°C and 30°C; storage between 20°C and 25°C.
  • Can volume – 500ml: Suitable for controlled, hand-held applications requiring compact precision filling.

Applications

  • Roof tile voids and draught points: Seals small openings to prevent heat loss and draught ingress.
  • Pipe and service penetrations: Fills gaps around pipework and conduits to maintain airtightness.
  • Door and window frames: Provides precise foam support without exerting stress on surrounding materials.
  • Electrical chases and wall voids: Fills gaps prior to plastering for a smooth, even surface.
  • Wall and floorboard gaps: Prevents airflow and enhances insulation between structural joints.
  • Behind exterior cladding or soffit boards: Acts as a lightweight insulating filler behind boards and trims.

Installation Guidance

  • Surface preparation: Ensure substrates are clean, sound, and slightly moistened to aid foam curing.
  • Can preparation: Shake can vigorously approximately 20 times before use to mix contents evenly.
  • Application method: Attach nozzle, hold can upside down, and fill cavities slightly underfull to allow for minor expansion.
  • Tool and nozzle cleaning: Use Everbuild Dual Purpose Foam Cleaner immediately after use, before foam cures.
  • Reuse guidance: Clean nozzle and valve tip before cured material sets to enable reuse of the can.
  • Safety handling: Store and transport in upright position away from direct sunlight and high heat sources.

Compliance & Performance

  • Material type: One-component polyurethane foam for precision sealing and insulation.
  • Compressive strength: 3 N/cm² at 10% stress (DIN 53421).
  • Tensile strength: 7–10 N/cm² (DIN 53530).
  • Shear strength: 4.5 N/cm² (DIN 53427).
  • Thermal resistance: Long-term -40°C to +80°C; short-term up to +100°C.
  • Fire classification: Building Material Class B3 (DIN 4102, Part 1).
  • Shelf life: 24 months when stored upright between 20°C and 25°C.
  • Important note: Always wear appropriate protective equipment. Do not expose can to temperatures above 50°C or puncture after use. Clean tools and valves before foam cures to maintain safety and functionality.
