What is Everbuild B2 Fire Rated Expanding Foam?
Everbuild B2 Fire Rated Expanding Foam Hand Held is a one-component, polyurethane-based foam that expands 1.5 to 2 times its original volume upon application. Specifically designed for use in fire-rated applications, this foam is designed to provide enhanced fire resistance, making it ideal for sealing joints and gaps where fire safety is a priority.
It is quick-setting and versatile, providing a reliable solution for filling, fixing, and insulating a range of gaps and structures. It can also be cut, sawn, or plastered over within one hour, as long as the working temperatures range between +5°C to +25°C, with 20°C being optimal.
Where is Everbuild B2 Fire Rated Expanding Foam Used?
This expanding foam is widely used in construction and renovation projects where fire-rated joints or gaps need to be sealed. Its applications include:
Filling:
- Gaps around pipe entries through walls.
- Spaces around window and door frames.
- Electrical wire chases before plastering when fire resistance is required.
- Deep joints before applying sealant or plaster.
- Irregular gaps in stone, brick, concrete, or plaster surfaces.
Fixing:
- Securing door frames and window frames.
- Stabilising timber structures.
- Installing window sills and thresholds.
Insulating:
