What is Easy-Trim Continuous Rafter Tray 300mm x 6000mm?
Easy-Trim Continuous Rafter Tray 300mm x 6000mm is a high-quality roofing solution designed to provide effective ventilation within pitched roofs. This versatile and robust product helps maintain a consistent flow of air from the eaves to the ridge of your roof. It is engineered to be used in roofs with insulation at the rafter level, preventing issues such as condensation by ensuring the insulation does not obstruct the airflow or come into direct contact with roofing materials.
Manufactured from flexible and lightweight PVC, this continuous rafter tray measures 300mm in width and 6000mm in length, making it ideal for a range of roofing projects. It is especially beneficial for roofs with pitches of 15º or greater, where sufficient airflow is crucial to avoid moisture buildup and potential damage to the roof structure.
Applications
- Roofing Projects with Insulation at Rafter Level: Ideal for use in roofs where insulation is installed at the rafter level to enhance thermal performance.
- New Builds and Refurbishments: Suitable for both new construction and renovation projects, providing long-term protection against moisture and condensation.
- Loft and Roof Space Ventilation: Perfect for ensuring that loft insulation does not obstruct the ventilation system in pitched roofs, which could lead to trapped moisture and potential condensation issues.
- Compatible with Common Rafter Centres: Works seamlessly with standard rafter centres of 300mm, 400mm, 600mm, and 800mm.
Benefits
- Prevents Condensation: The rafter tray is designed to prevent loft insulation from pressing up against the underside of the roofing felt, which can obstruct airflow and potentially cause condensation. When insulation is too close to the roofing felt, it can trap moisture, leading to condensation in the roof space, which could then cause dampness, mould, or structural damage.
- Quick and Easy Installation: The tray is lightweight and flexible, making it easy to install, even in challenging conditions.
- Enhanced Airflow: Its specially designed ribbed construction provides additional strength while maintaining optimal airflow throughout the roof space. This consistent airflow prevents the risk of damp and mould formation.
- Conforms to Industry Standards: Satisfies all relevant building regulations and standards, including BS 5534:2014 for slating and tiling, and BS 5250 for roof space ventilation.
- Energy Efficiency: By improving ventilation, it helps enhance the overall energy efficiency of the building, reducing the likelihood of issues such as heat loss and damp.

How delivery works
We work with a nationwide network of trusted suppliers. Items in your basket may be supplied by different suppliers and delivered separately. Where this applies, you will see delivery charges shown at checkout for each part of your order. We always aim to group products from the same supplier to keep delivery costs as low as possible.
Delivery areas
Delivery charges apply to mainland UK, excluding: AB, CA, CF, DD, DG, EH, EX, FK, KA, KW, KY, IV, LA, LD, LL, ML, NP, PA, PH, PL, SA, SY, TR, TQ and TD.
If your address is in one of these areas, we will contact you before processing your order to confirm any additional costs. We do not currently offer delivery outside the UK mainland.
What to expect on delivery day
- Deliveries are typically kerbside.
- Please ensure someone is on-site to accept delivery. For heavier items, help with offloading may be required.
- Many building materials arrive on large vehicles. If access is restricted, a specialist vehicle such as a HIAB may be required and could incur an additional charge.
Why delivery can cost more than typical parcel delivery
Building materials often travel on larger vehicles and usually carry fewer drops per run than parcel networks. That is why delivery charges can be higher than standard e-commerce shipping.
Returns
Returns depend on what you have bought and whether there is anything wrong with it. For full details on eligibility, timeframes, and exclusions, please see our full policy.
