What is the Black Easy-Trim Angled Ridge End Cap?
The Black Easy-Trim Angled Ridge End Cap is a reliable roofing component designed specifically for finishing the ends of ridge tiles at gable ends. This cap provides a practical solution for completing roof installations where ridge and verge sections meet.
Made from UV-stabilised polypropylene, it offers robust resistance to weather, UV exposure, and environmental factors, helping maintain roof integrity over time. The angled design creates a defined finish at the apex while serving the practical purpose of preventing water ingress.
Compatible with roof pitches between 15° and 55°, this cap works as part of the Easy-Trim Dry Fix System, which provides an alternative to traditional mortar-based installation methods. The design includes flexible sections that conform to the verge piece, creating a sealed connection that helps keep out water and prevents entry points for insects and small animals.
Applications
- Ridge Tile Finishing: Specifically designed to fit over the end of ridge tiles, completing the roof installation at the gable.
- Pitch Roofs: Suitable for roofs with a pitch ranging from 15° to 55°, making it versatile across many roof types.
- Dry Fix Roofing Systems: Compatible with mortar-free dry fix systems, which are increasingly popular for their ease of installation and minimal maintenance.
Benefits
- Durable Polypropylene Construction: Crafted from high-quality polypropylene, the cap offers excellent durability and resistance to harsh weather conditions, ensuring longevity and reliability.
- No Mortar Required: The mortar-free installation process makes the cap quicker, cleaner, and safer to install compared to traditional methods. This also reduces the potential for long-term maintenance issues associated with mortar.
- UV Stabilised: The cap is UV-stabilised, providing protection against discolouration and degradation from sunlight, ensuring that the product maintains its appearance and performance over time.
- Effective Water and Infestation Protection: The flexible flaps contour around the verge piece to create a tightly sealed unit, which helps prevent water ingress and reduces the risk of insect and bat infestations.
- Weather Resistant: It has excellent resistance to weathering, maintaining its performance under varying climatic conditions.
- High-Quality Standards: The cap complies with BS 5534 for mechanical fixing and BS 8612 for performance, ensuring the product meets high-quality industry standards for safety and performance.
- Low Maintenance: Once installed, the cap is maintenance-free, offering a long-term solution without the need for frequent upkeep.

How delivery works
We work with a nationwide network of trusted suppliers. Items in your basket may be supplied by different suppliers and delivered separately. Where this applies, you will see delivery charges shown at checkout for each part of your order. We always aim to group products from the same supplier to keep delivery costs as low as possible.
Delivery areas
Delivery charges apply to mainland UK, excluding: AB, CA, CF, DD, DG, EH, EX, FK, KA, KW, KY, IV, LA, LD, LL, ML, NP, PA, PH, PL, SA, SY, TR, TQ and TD.
If your address is in one of these areas, we will contact you before processing your order to confirm any additional costs. We do not currently offer delivery outside the UK mainland.
What to expect on delivery day
- Deliveries are typically kerbside.
- Please ensure someone is on-site to accept delivery. For heavier items, help with offloading may be required.
- Many building materials arrive on large vehicles. If access is restricted, a specialist vehicle such as a HIAB may be required and could incur an additional charge.
Why delivery can cost more than typical parcel delivery
Building materials often travel on larger vehicles and usually carry fewer drops per run than parcel networks. That is why delivery charges can be higher than standard e-commerce shipping.
Returns
Returns depend on what you have bought and whether there is anything wrong with it. For full details on eligibility, timeframes, and exclusions, please see our full policy.
