Product Overview

A box of 100 black plastic fixing pegs, designed to securely anchor garden membranes, landscape fabrics, and ground protection materials.

Manufactured from durable, weather-resistant plastic, they provide a simple and effective method of fixing geotextiles and weed membranes into both soft and firm ground.

Each peg features a sharp-pointed design for easy penetration, ensuring reliable grip without damaging the fabric. Once installed, they prevent displacement caused by wind, water, or ground movement, supporting the long-term effectiveness of the underlying material.

Lightweight yet strong, these pegs are reusable, making them suitable for both temporary and permanent applications. They are resistant to rot, moisture, and UV degradation, ensuring consistent performance across changing weather conditions.

Supplied in boxes of 100, they provide ample fixing capacity for larger projects or multiple installations, offering a cost-effective solution for landscapers, gardeners, and contractors.

Features & Benefits

  • Durable construction: Manufactured from tough, UV-stable plastic, resistant to moisture, rot, and ground contact.
  • Secure anchoring: Sharp-point design penetrates soil easily and holds membranes firmly in place.
  • Versatile use: Suitable for weed control fabrics, geotextiles, grass mats, and landscape edgings.
  • Reusable: Can be removed and reinstalled without damage, supporting sustainable use.
  • Weather-resistant: Maintains performance across varied conditions, including frost, heat, and rain.
  • Reliable performance: Reduces displacement of fabrics caused by wind, water, or soil movement.
  •  Cost effectiveness: Large box supply reduces per-peg cost for landscaping and installation work.

Applications

  • Weed control membranes: Holds garden and landscape fabrics in place for effective suppression.
  • Geotextile layers: Anchors erosion-control and stabilisation fabrics on slopes and banks.
  • Rubber grass mats: Fits into pre-punched holes to fix mats securely to the ground.
  • Edging and borders: Keeps fabric aligned neatly along beds, paths, and decorative edges.
  • General landscaping: Suitable for fixing a wide range of protective ground coverings.

Installation Guidance

  • Preparation: Lay out fabric or matting on a level surface, ensuring overlaps are correct.
  • Placement: Position pegs at intervals of 0.5–1.0m along edges and at joints, closer in windy or sloped sites.
  • Fixing: Push or gently hammer pegs into the ground until flush with the surface.
  • Inspection: Check edges and overlaps remain secured after installation; add additional pegs if movement occurs.
  • Removal: For temporary applications, pegs can be lifted and reused without damage.

Compliance & Performance

  • Material: UV-stable, weather-resistant plastic.
  • Performance characteristics: Designed for anchoring lightweight landscaping materials into soil.
  • Longevity: Resistant to rot, moisture, and sunlight degradation for outdoor use.
  • Reusability: Can be used multiple times without loss of function.
  • Limitations: Not designed for heavy-duty structural fixing or anchoring into hard/concrete substrates.
  • Important note: Ensure adequate quantity of pegs per m² to prevent wind lift or movement in exposed sites.

How delivery works

We work with a nationwide network of trusted suppliers. Items in your basket may be supplied by different suppliers and delivered separately. Where this applies, you will see delivery charges shown at checkout for each part of your order. We always aim to group products from the same supplier to keep delivery costs as low as possible.

Delivery areas

Delivery charges apply to mainland UK, excluding: AB, CA, CF, DD, DG, EH, EX, FK, KA, KW, KY, IV, LA, LD, LL, ML, NP, PA, PH, PL, SA, SY, TR, TQ and TD.

If your address is in one of these areas, we will contact you before processing your order to confirm any additional costs. We do not currently offer delivery outside the UK mainland.

What to expect on delivery day

  • Deliveries are typically kerbside.
  • Please ensure someone is on-site to accept delivery. For heavier items, help with offloading may be required.
  • Many building materials arrive on large vehicles. If access is restricted, a specialist vehicle such as a HIAB may be required and could incur an additional charge.

Why delivery can cost more than typical parcel delivery

Building materials often travel on larger vehicles and usually carry fewer drops per run than parcel networks. That is why delivery charges can be higher than standard e-commerce shipping.

Returns

Returns depend on what you have bought and whether there is anything wrong with it. For full details on eligibility, timeframes, and exclusions, please see our full policy.
