Product Overview
22mm Peel Clean Xtra chipboard flooring board, measuring 2400mm x 600mm (8' x 2').
Manufactured from P5 moisture-resistant particleboard with a factory-applied, peel-off protective film, it combines structural strength with surface protection during the build phase.
The durable film shields against dirt, damage, and weather exposure for up to 42 days, leaving a clean surface once removed.
With tongue-and-groove edges on all sides, it provides a secure, flush finish for load-bearing flooring in new-build and refurbishment projects.
Features & Benefits
- Peel-off polyethylene film: Protects against dirt and moisture during installation.
- P5 chipboard core: Maintains strength in humid service conditions.
- Temporary weather resistance: Up to 42 days’ exposure during construction.
- Tongue-and-groove jointing: Ensures tight board-to-board fit.
- Smooth finish after peel: Ready for handover or floor coverings.
- Slip resistance: Tested to HSE standards (low slip potential).
- Board length 2400mm (8ft): Rapid coverage of floor areas.
- Thickness 22mm, width 600mm: Suitable for heavy-duty floor systems.
Please Note: Protective film must be removed before final use. Prolonged exposure may reduce surface performance.
Applications
- Can be used with structural floors: Suitable for domestic and commercial construction.
- New-build projects: Designed for heavy-duty joist systems and timber floors.
- Refurbishment work: Ideal where temporary site protection is needed.
- Exposed floors during build phase: Retains integrity against weather and site traffic.
Installation Guidance
- Peel film before handover: Remove protective layer after construction phase.
- Fixing method: Screw or nail into joists; adhesive recommended at joints.
- Weather protection: Designed for up to 42 days’ exposure; cover if exceeding.
Compliance & Performance
- P5 chipboard classification: Flooring-grade moisture-resistant board in line with EN 312.
- Service class: Suitable for Service Class 1 and 2 environments, meeting BS EN 13986.

How delivery works
We work with a nationwide network of trusted suppliers. Items in your basket may be supplied by different suppliers and delivered separately. Where this applies, you will see delivery charges shown at checkout for each part of your order. We always aim to group products from the same supplier to keep delivery costs as low as possible.
Delivery areas
Delivery charges apply to mainland UK, excluding: AB, CA, CF, DD, DG, EH, EX, FK, KA, KW, KY, IV, LA, LD, LL, ML, NP, PA, PH, PL, SA, SY, TR, TQ and TD.
If your address is in one of these areas, we will contact you before processing your order to confirm any additional costs. We do not currently offer delivery outside the UK mainland.
What to expect on delivery day
- Deliveries are typically kerbside.
- Please ensure someone is on-site to accept delivery. For heavier items, help with offloading may be required.
- Many building materials arrive on large vehicles. If access is restricted, a specialist vehicle such as a HIAB may be required and could incur an additional charge.
Why delivery can cost more than typical parcel delivery
Building materials often travel on larger vehicles and usually carry fewer drops per run than parcel networks. That is why delivery charges can be higher than standard e-commerce shipping.
Returns
Returns depend on what you have bought and whether there is anything wrong with it. For full details on eligibility, timeframes, and exclusions, please see our full policy.
