High-performance thermal insulation is the most immediate and efficient solution for reducing energy consumption and your bills. 120mm IKO Enertherm PIR Insulation boards offer both of these benefits, and then some.
The boards are comprised of a rigid foam core flanked on either side by a composite aluminium facing. Referred to in the industry as "PIR" boards (so-called because of their polyisocyanurate (PIR) fibre-free core), this multi-purpose application offers an impressive thermal conductivity of just 0.022 W/mK.
120mm IKO Enertherm PIR boards can be installed in a multitude of different building applications and projects, from new builds to DIY to renovations. Most commonly installed to improve the thermal performance of floors, ceilings, walls and pitch roofs, these IKO Enertherm ALU boards are trouble-free when it comes to cutting and installing.
What's more, the boards are also moisture-resistant ensuring that they withstand all weather conditions.
IKO Enertherm ALU is an HFC free insulation board with a rigid foam core flanked on either side by a composite aluminium facing. These facings inhibit air from penetrating the insulation system, ensuring the boards maintain optimal thermal performance. The integrity of the boards is further ensured by the fact that IKO Enertherm is purposed to resist water absorption and corrosion resistance.
It is for this reason, that IKO Enertherm PIR insulation is perfectly suited for multiple applications including external wall, pitched roof, floor, internal wall, inverted roof, metal roof, and flat roof insulation. No matter the application, the boards ensure excellent thermal performance, offering insulation properties that help improve the energy efficiency and thermal insulation of your property. The more energy-efficient your home is, the less money you’ll need to spend on heating or cooling it, which we think you'll agree is a very welcome benefit in the current energy bill climate. In terms of the actual climate, you can rest assured that these boards pose no threat as they are 100% CFC, HCFC or HFC-free; which, simply put, means they're gentle on the environment.
120mm IKO Enertherm PIR Insulation Board Applications
Enertherm PIR insulation board is purposed for use on flat roofs, pitch roofs, loft floors, cavity walls, cladding and basements. With a seven-layer ALU lamination, IKO Enertherm insulation board prevents thermal bridging, water ingress and guarantees a wind tight shield. In addition, Micro Cell Technology provide the insulation boards with shape retention, and moisture and pressure resistance. The boards have also been tested under extreme conditions regarding mechanical properties, for extra peace of mind.
Applications
· Flat roof insulation for timber, concrete and steel deck
· Pitched roof insulation
· Floor insulation (underfloor heating and concrete floors)
· Cavity wall insulation
· Outside wall insulation (closed joints)
· Loft insulation
This PIR insulation board can be easily combined with roof membranes and is dimensionally stable, so you get that extra peace of mind that its insulating capacity (and the quality of your build) is retained for years. This is further ensured by the fact that the boards are rot and mould-proof. To top it all off, the high thermal values and thin construction of IKO Enertherm ALU boards reduce the overall thickness of your build. With IKO Enertherm, you make optimum use of the space available in the roof, in the floor or in the cavity.
IKO Enertherm PIR Insulation Board Storage & Handling
At around 32 kg/m³, IKO Enertherm boards are considered lightweight insulation. This generates ergonomic benefits in the handling of the material.
To keep them in the best nick, we advise that you store the boards indoors on a level surface and under a protective cover.
IKO Enertherm PIR Insulation Board Products - All You Need To Know
IKO Enertherm insulation has the highest performance per m². This means that a higher insulation value is achieved with a thinner insulation thickness than with other insulation materials (such as EPS, XPS and mineral wool).
IKO Insulations is part of the international IKO Group: a leading manufacturer of roofing, waterproofing and insulation. Within the IKO Group, IKO Insulations develops, produces and distributes innovative PIR (Polyisocyanurate) based insulation products under the IKO Enertherm brand.
