What is 100mm Kingspan TP10 Insulation?

100mm Kingspan TP10 insulation is a premium, precision-engineered board tailored for optimising thermal performance in residential and commercial spaces.

Featuring a robust thermoset polyisocyanurate (PIR) core, this product is specifically crafted to fit between the rafters of both tiled and slated warm roof spaces.

It stands out for its exceptional ability to curtail energy costs significantly, thanks to its fibre-free PIR core which boasts an impressive thermal conductivity of 0.022 W/mK. This makes it a superior choice, second only to phenolic insulation in insulation efficiency.

Beyond its thermal attributes, TP10 is designed to resist air infiltration and water vapour, ensuring longevity and sustained performance against environmental factors.

Where is 100mm Kingspan TP10 Used?

The 100mm Kingspan TP10 insulation board is ideally suited for integration into the rafter levels of tiled or slated pitched warm roof areas.

This specificity in application makes it a versatile option for enhancing the thermal efficiency of both new constructions and renovation efforts.

Its design addresses the common challenge of heat loss through the roof, making it a strategic choice for homeowners looking to improve their energy savings.

Benefits of 100mm Kingspan TP10

  • Energy Cost Reduction: Homeowners can anticipate up to a 25% decrease in energy bills, courtesy of the board's superior insulative properties.
  • Exceptional Thermal Efficiency: Its thermal conductivity rate of 0.022 W/mK ensures your living spaces retain heat longer, reducing the need for excessive heating.
  • Long-term Performance: The board's resistance to air infiltration and moisture secures its longevity and prevents common insulation issues.
  • Environmental Responsibility: Produced with a zero ODP and low GWP blowing agent, it reflects a commitment to reducing environmental impact.
  • Flexible Application: Whether for new buildings or refurbishments, the 100mm thickness is engineered for optimal fit and efficiency in warm roof spaces.
  • Ease of Installation: Lightweight and safe to handle without the need for protective gear, it simplifies the installation process.

100mm Kingspan TP10 PIR Core

Central to the 100mm Kingspan TP10 insulation board is its PIR core, a testament to Kingspan's innovation in providing leading thermal insulation.

This rigid, fibre-free material is synthesized through a reaction that links polyols and isocyanates, creating a structurally robust yet highly insulative product.

With a focus on delivering low thermal conductivity, Kingspan ensures that their PIR insulation, particularly the TP10 range, contributes significantly to heating efficiency and comfort in homes.

Kingspan Thermapitch TP10 Fire Rating

The Euroclass scale starts from A1 (non-combustible) and finishes at F (combustible). All insulation materials in Europe must have a Euroclass rating before they go on sale. This scale ensures that the classification is standardised. Materials undergo up to five strict, regulated tests. When you see a Euroclass rating, you will always get an accurate representation of the hazards involved.

Kingspan Thermapitch TP10 has a Euroclass rating of F. This is the worst rating in terms of combustibility. TP10 boards will contribute to the production of fire. It is important to remember that a poor Euroclass rating does not mean that the material is unsuitable for your home, merely that it cannot be relied upon to stop the spread of fire. You should use a build-up of fire-resistant materials in conjunction with Kingspan PIR insulation.

Kingspan TP10 Insulation Board Handling

Ease of handling is a standout feature of the 100mm Kingspan TP10 insulation boards, designed with the installer in mind. Their lightweight nature facilitates effortless installation, making them an ideal choice for both professional contractors and DIY enthusiasts.

Non-deleterious materials ensure a safe installation process, underscoring the board's appeal as a practical, efficient, and user-friendly insulation solution for a wide range of roofing projects.

Have used this product in steel frame wall constructions and timber frame constructions and never had an issue. The insulation core is made of PIR which is great at keeping heat in. Staff at Materials Market offered the best price and a great service. Will be back again soon.

great product

John Harrison on

Installed the TP10 under some suspended ground floor and couldn't rate the product higher. I know Kingspan use a few different names for this high performance rigid insulation like TF70, but they're the same thing. Ordering was a piece of cake too. Just put in my delivery details, email and card details and everything arrived a few days later.
